Rapid Movements
Clearance Plane - The height at which the tool can rapid safely from operation to operation.
Rapid Plane - The height at which the tool can rapid safely within the current machining feature.
Top of Part - The top of the material for the feature. This value is incremental from the Machine Setup or machining origin.
Posting Parameters
Work Offset # - This box allows you to choose which work offset code to use for this feature in the posted NC program. The post processor must be configured to support the work offset selected.
Output Rotary Angle - When selected, the angle entered into the Rotation Angle box is output in the posted NC program.
Rotation Angle - When performing 4th axis indexing, the rotary angle is entered here. This box is unavailable until the Output Rotary Angle check box is selected.
Thread Mill Output
Line Moves - The resulting toolpath output is line movements.
Arc Moves - The resulting toolpath output is helical arc movements.
Tolerance - The tolerance used when breaking the chain into linear entities.

Patterns
Bottom Up - When this option is selected the tool starts the cut at the bottom of the thread and departs from the cut at the top of the thread.
Top Down -
When this option is selected the tool starts the cut at the top
of the thread and departs from the cut at the bottom of the thread.
Thread Type
Inside - When this option is selected the resulting toolpath creates an internal thread.
Outside - When this option is selected the resulting toolpath creates an external thread.
Thread Parameters
Blind - When this option is selected the system does not generate a helical departure from the thread.
Through
- When this option is selected the system generates a helical
departure from the thread.
Right Hand - When this option is selected the resulting thread is clockwise.
Left Hand
- When this option is selected the resulting thread is counter-clockwise.
Thread Diameter - This box indicates the inner diameter of the resulting thread.
Thread Height - This box indicates the distance from the inner diameter to the major diameter of the thread.
Thread Pitch - This box indicates the distance between the top of each thread.
Threads Per Revolution
- This box indicates the number of threads generated per
revolution. The system automatically calculates the number of
revolutions required based on the Thread
Height and Thread Pitch
values.
Depth
Depth - This value indicates the overall distance from the top of the thread to the bottom.
Lead In
Helical - When this option is selected the system generates a three dimensional arc move into the start of the thread.
Circular - When this option is selected the system generates a two dimensional arc move into the start of the thread.
Radius
- This box allows you to specify the arc size into and out
of the thread.
Lead Out
Same As Lead In - When this check box is selected, the Lead Out matches the Lead-In settings.
Helical - When this option is selected the system generates a three dimensional arc move into the start of the thread.
Circular - When this option is selected the system generates a two dimensional arc move into the start of the thread.
Radius - This box allows you to specify the arc size into and out of the thread.
